Services We Offer
The ELC is a transactional clinic, in that ELC students work on transactions crucial to startup companies, such as business entity formation, financing, operational contracts, company policy, website terms of service, and intellectual property licensing. Please note that although the ELC can take on projects relating to intellectual property contracts, the ELC does not file patent, trademark, or copyright registration, and does not do litigation (lawsuits).

“The ELC has been extremely helpful to me as I develop and launch my new nonprofit. They have helped with my initial filing for a 501c3, the trademark and copyright procedures and my terms of service agreement for my web site. The law students are energetic, competent and highly professional. I am so grateful for the leadership and supervision of Professor Norris and the entire ELC team.” – ELC client
“We feel very lucky to have worked with the ELC over many semesters and we’ve found that because of the ELC we’re better equipped to handle an array of challenges that new ventures have to contend with. The students and their advisors at the ELC have done top-quality work and given us valuable tools that we’ve used in our early-stage business.” – Scoot Science, ELC client
“The bang for the proverbial buck provided by the ELC is unbeatable. I am constantly impressed with the level of service received from the clinic and sincerely value the connections I have made working with the clinic.” – QuickCarl, Inc., ELC client
