We offer two American Bar Association-approved Juris Doctorate (JD) programs, each carefully designed to prepare future lawyers to lead with integrity and advocate for a more just, humane, and sustainable world.

Specialized JD Cohort Programs

We offer two innovative specialization cohort programs. Students apply for acceptance to the cohort at the time of their admissions application. Each cohort offers a formal orientation, mentorship and milestone tracking to support professional development within the area of legal specialization

JD Graduation Certificates

JD students are able to complete concentrated course work to earn specialized graduation certificates administered by our centers.

LLM and Masters Programs

We offer masters programs aligned with our unique areas of strength and distinction, supported by our exceptional community of faculty and staff educators designed to help students achieve their person and professional goals.

  • LLM in U.S. Laws - designed for foreign attorneys, and supportive of those wishing to take the California Bar Exam, this program allows for optional specialization in Intellectual Property, International / Comparative Law, or Social Justice
  • LLM in Intellectual Property - designed for students with a U.S. JD degree seeking advance course work in Intellectual Property, including Copyright, Trademark, Patent Law.
  • LLM in International & Comparative Law - designed for students with a U.S. JD degree seeking advance course work in International & Comparative Law, including human rights, rule of law, international business.

Combined JD+ Degrees

Our JD students are eligible to enroll in a combined degree program to leverage their time at Santa Clara by building additional skills and expertise. Current JD students declare their combined degrees during their 2L (second) year of law school.
