Research by Professor Colleen V. Chien shows that although more people with criminal records are eligible for some sort of relief (restoration of voting rights, criminal record expungement, downgrade past convictions, etc.), millions are not taking advantage of the opportunity – what Professor Chien calls “The Second Chances Gap.”

If you’d like to help find solutions to the many ways in which millions of people are missing their second chance opportunity, register and come to the hackathon. We’ll provide food and drinks and at the break we’re screening “The Return” a film about the challenges of coming home after being in prison.
