Existing Organization Registration
Law Student Organizations (LSO's) must complete this checklist in order to receive funding from the SBA.

Each fall, all LSOs should do the following:

1. Have a current Student Organization Registration Form and Constitution on file with Alisa Guglielmo in Law Student Services, Bannan 210.

2. Maintain a web page for their organization.

3. Learn how to use the Astra Calendar, the University’s room reservation system.

•  You can use Astra to book rooms in Bannan, Benson and across campus.

• Access to Astra is given out within 2 weeks after club registration requirements are

   met.

• Laura McGeehon, lmcgeehon@scu.edu, manages Astra for the law school.

Click here for a tutorial on how to use the Astra calendar.

Note: ASTRA DOES NOT LINK UP TO THE LAW SCHOOL WEB CALENDAR. YOU MUST POST YOUR EVENT ON THE WEB CALENDAR SEPARATELY.

4. Learn how to post events on the Law School Web calendar.  Directions for how to post events on the Web Calendar can be found on ClaraNet under: Main Index> Reserves by Department> Student Services> Law Student Organizations.

5. Read through and sign the Law Classroom, Lounge and Announcement Policies Form and turn into Law Student Services in Bannan 210.

6. Read through and be aware of the Strong Commons Room Policy and the policy on Student Organization Mail.

7. Present a list of all active members to Alisa Guglielmo and to the SBA Vice President Full Time.

8. FollowSBA guidelines for budget proposals (SOBA Form).

Failure to complete any of the above items may result in a witholding of funding.
