In order to receive or continue to receive federal student loans for the next academic year of 2013-2014, you must start the process by completing a 2013-2014 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). If not yet done, please complete it as soon as possible and no later than May 15, 2013 at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Santa Clara Law will still, however, accept FAFSA applications after that date.
Where indicated on the FAFSA, please be sure to list Santa Clara University (Federal School Cole 001326), so that we can electronically receive your FAFSA report from the federal government. You must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen (as defined on the FAFSA web site) to be eligible for federal student loans.
The 2013-2014 award notifications for loans will become available for current students around mid-June. The SCU Law Financial Aid Office will send you an e-mail when your 2013-2014 award notification is available to view on e-campus. Additional instructions on applying for loans will be included in the e-mail notice.
The 2013-2014 Santa Clara Law Scholarship Applications are available to complete online via Survey Monkey, with a deadline of June 3, 2013. Earlier this month, all current students were recently sent an e-mail notification with the link to complete the application.
(You can disregard this notice if you will not be returning to enroll at Santa Clara University for the 2013-2014 academic year.)
