NCIP client Larry Pohlschneider walked free from Deuel Vocational Institution in Tracy earlier this morning after 15 years of wrongful incarceration! Larry’s exoneration marks NCIP’s 18th victory since its inception in 2001.

Please send Larry a welcome home message here.

A team of NCIP staff greeted Larry as he exited the prison gates, and took him out for a celebratory meal—a double bacon cheeseburger and fries. The next order of business was getting his hair cut. When offered the opportunity to donate his hair to Locks of Love, he eagerly agreed. Larry and NCIP Supervising Attorney Maitreya Badami celebrated his new look over his favorite dessert—cheesecake. They are now headed to Red Bluff where Larry will reunite with his mother.

Exonerations do not happen every day; winning innocence cases requires long hours and hard work from all involved. It is thanks to NCIP supporters that together we celebrate this triumph today!
