Three Santa Clara University School of Law alumni – Sheeva Glassemi-Vanni J.D. ’06 at Fenwick & West, Britten Sessions J.D. ’11 at Zilka-Kotab PC and Lincoln Law School of San Jos, and Dori Yob J.D. ’03 at Hopkins & Carly – have been named as part of Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 2016 40 under 40.

This list recognizes individuals making significant contributions to Santa Clara County. From the article:

When designing landscape architecture, one of our 40 Under 40 winners this year follows the Great Law of the Iroquois — plan for seven generations ahead.

These 40 honorees have barely lived two generations, yet they too are working to make Silicon Valley and their industries a better place for the next 150 or so years.

From working to ensure Santa Clara County children have access to health insurance to combining emerging technologies with data analytics, this year’s honorees strive to invest in the future.

For work to be meaningful for them, again and again they talked about learning and personal growth, but also about making a difference and helping others.

“I love going to work and knowing that what I do helps the community and provides opportunities for youth with fewer options to be able to get the skills they need to be successful,” said Abby Longcor, director of the Tech Challenge at the Tech Museum of Innovation.

Winners of the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 were chosen by an editorial panel at the newspaper. They must have achieved a high level of responsibility in their careers — whether in for-profit, nonprofit or government — and contributed to the betterment of our region through community involvement. Winners must have been 39 years of age or younger by July 1, 2016.
