On July 11, 2006 Sir Gerard Brennan, former Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia and former Chancellor of University of Technology Sydney launched a special volume of the UTS Law Review, a joint production with Santa Clara University School of Law's Journal of International Law.

The volume, entitled "The Mind, The Body and The Law" focuses on the intersection of law and medicine and delves into contentious and often unchartered issues including the sale of body parts, surrogacy, cloning, and the ethics of third world medical research, among others.
