February 27, 2007

On March 5, 2007 in New York, Stephanie M. Wildman, Professor of Law and Director, Center for Social Justice and Public Service, has been invited to speak at this year's Fordham Urban Law Journal Symposium, "What is the Place of Poverty Law in the Law School Curriculum?: Looking Back and Planning for the Future." Professor Wildman will speak on Race and Wealth Disparity: The Role of Law and the Legal System (a piece co-authored with Professor Beverly Moran (Vanderbilt).

The Symposium will take place on March 5, 2007 and is co-sponsored by Fordham Law School’s Louis Stein Center for Law and Ethics, the William and Burton Cooper Chair in Urban Legal Issues, and the Feerick Center for Social Justice and Dispute Resolution. Leading poverty law scholars, clinicians, and legal practitioners will serve as speakers, many of whom will be contributing articles to a book on poverty law that will be published by the Journal this Spring. Some of the scholars include Bill Quigley (Loyola), Julie Nice (Denver), Lucie White (Harvard), and Jeff Selbin (Boalt).
