The Santa Clara Computer & High Technology Law Journal recently announced the appointment of its Volume 23 Editorial Board. 

"In an effort to leverage the outstanding work of our predecessors, this past year has been focused on the ever improving quality of the article content of the Journal, while working more closely with the High Technology Institute to bring top scholars to present at two symposiums on Intellectual Property Issues" said outgoing Editor-in-Chief, Elizabeth Morris. "We are confident that the incoming editorial board, backed by their considerable talents and expertise, will serve to build upon these successes and expand the Journal’s nationally-recognized leadership in its field.  The Journal is currently ranked third in the Nation for high technology law, and we would love to see it continue to lead the discussion on emerging issues at the cutting edge of intellectual property and technology-related law." 

The Journal's incoming Executive Board consists of the following Santa Clara University law students:

Arisha Hatch, Editor-in-Chief, comes to the Journal with extensive experience in publishing, having served as the Managing Editor at the Stanford Daily.  She served as a Pacific -10 Conference Correspondent for Sports Illustrated, a press release author for Lincoln Mercury, and is author of a novel. Ms. Hatch has worked in IP law at Weil, Gotshal & Manages and will be spending this summer doing IP litigation at Gordon & Rees.  Ms. Hatch is a J.D. candidate for 2007 and holds a B.A. in Economics and English from Stanford University.

Sriranga Veeraraghavan, Managing Editor, brings to the Journal a wealth of technical knowledge, with nearly 10 years of work in the Silicon Valley.  He is currently a lead engineer at Sun Microsystems, and has worked as a software engineer at Empowertel Networks and Cisco Systems.  Mr. Veeraraghavan has also authored two books on computer programming. He is a J.D. candidate for 2007 and holds a B.Sc. in Materials Science from U.C. Berkeley.

Bryan Boyle, Senior Production Editor, joins the Journal with extensive research experience in the field of biotechnology, having recently worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University in the Department of Medicine - Division of Endocrinology and as a scientist for Hysequ Pharmaceuticals.  He has published over twenty articles in the field of biotechnology and has worked on biotechnology and pharmaceutical-related inventions as a Patent Agent for Nuvelo, Inc.  Mr. Boyle is a J.D. candidate for 2007 and holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Georgetown University.

Jessica Cheh, Senior Production Editor, comes to the Journal with a broad range of experience.  In addition to her work in insurance and management for TBG Financial West, she has served as a law clerk for the entertainment law firm of Costa, Abrams & Coate LLP and as a research assistant for Brauer Law Corporation.  She is also involved in Honors Moot Court and has received the CALI award in Appellate Advocacy.  Ms. Cheh is a J.D. candidate for 2007 and holds a B.Sc. in Communications and Mass Media from New York University.

Erika Izquierdo, Senior Comments Editor, brings to the Journal a diverse array of experience.  Prior to law school, she worked in IT management for Hewlett Packard, and she currently serves as a legal intern for Intel and a student counselor at The Katherine & George Alexander Community Law Center.  Ms. Izquierdo is a J.D. candidate for 2007 and holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University.
