J. Thomas Oldham to Speak at Faculty Forum

J.Thomas Oldham helped develop a creative approach to comparative law that involved a class in the US, and a class in Mexico using videoconferencing technology to provide interaction between the two groups of law students.  He will be speaking at a faculty forum on Monday, March 13 at noon in the Strong Common Room in Bergin Hall at Santa Clara University

 

J. Thomas Oldham is the John Freeman Professor of Law at the University of Houston.  He teaches courses in family law and marital property rights, among other things.  He is a member of the Board of Editors of the Family Law Quarterly,as well as the Executive Committee of the AALS Family and Juvenile Law Section.  In 2000, he was awarded the Award for Excellence in Research andScholarship by the University of Houston.  He has been a visiting professor at Colorado, George Washington, and Cambridge, and was Associate Dean for Faculty Development from 2002-2004.
