Two Santa Clara Law alumni were honored at the 3rd Annual Black Legend Awards Silicon Valley ceremony on February 10, 2018. The Honorable Risë Jones Pichon BS ’73, JD ’76, Superior Court of California, Santa Clara County, and David W. Epps JD ’92, Alternate Public Defender, Santa Clara County, each received the Hardeman-Sweet Award and were inducted into the Black Legends Hall of Fame. The Black Legend Awards is the fundraising event for the creation and development of the San Jose Black History Museum Silicon Valley, located in San Jose, CA.
