10th Anniversary BAAPALSA Conference: Rising in Unity
January 31, 2010(9:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
BAAPALSA is a joint collaboration between APALSA members from the 8 Northern California law schools: Santa Clara, Stanford, UC Berkeley Boalt Hall, UC Davis King Hall, UC Hastings, McGeorge, and University of San Francisco.
In 2001, the inaugural conference, Building Bridges, was established to promote education, leadership, social awareness, and community service. The conference aims to increase communication and interaction among Asian Pacific American law students, attorneys, and community leaders. Ten years later, we celebrate shared successes over the last decade while brainstorming where we can continue to make positive changes in the future.
We hope you will join us in supporting diversity in the legal field.
Registration Deadline: January 21, 2010

Looking Back at the Statute of Anne and Looking Forward to Challenges of the Future
April 9-10, 2010
Berkeley, CA
Cosponsored by the High Tech Law Institute and
the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology
2010 marks the three-hundredth anniversary of the Statute of Anne, the first modern copyright law, and provides a suitable occasion for looking back at the influence of this law on the history and evolution of copyright in the Anglo-American tradition and for looking forward at what lessons we can learn from this history that might better help us surmount the challenges that lie ahead for copyright in the twenty-first century.
At this two-day conference on April 9-10, 2010, an outstanding set of scholars and other experts from various disciplines will explore the past and future of copyright.
