Major legal treatises
A legal treatise is a lengthy, in-depth, coverage of a specific legal topic. A treatise may be a multi-volume set or a single monograph. They are different from hornbooks in that they are not written exclusively for a law student. Some may be monographs which are supplemented yearly, others are loose-leaf services which may be updated more frequently.
