International Law Programs
Summer Abroad Application Information
Eligibility
Law students in good standing at a law school accredited by the American Bar Association, or at a non-U.S. law school accredited by appropriate authorities. Students at a law school approved only by the State of California who will have completed 24 units of work with above average grades.

Applications
Applications for Summer 2010 will become available beginning January 1, 2010.
Deadline
Applications with deposit must be received by March 20, 2010. Some internships require an earlier application.

Deposit
$300 for a course, and $700 for an internship. Deposits are applied to tuition, but are not refundable except for program cancellation or substantial modification.
Tuition
Tuition is charged per unit. It is the same for all programs. Per unit tuition for courses is $880 per unit. Tuition for internship units is $975 per unit. Note: Santa Clara tuition for 2009-10 is $1,268 per unit. Thus, summer program students receive a great education abroad, at great savings!

Housing
Two programs (Vienna/Budapest and Istanbul) provide and require housing, for which a distinct housing fee is charged. Most programs reserve housing for participants, but participants may undertake alternative arrangements. A few programs provide listings, but students must make their own arrangements. Transportation
Participants make their own arrangements to and from the program. In most cases transportation to site visits must be arranged by the participants (usually via public transit). In some programs (Vienna/Budapest, Istanbul, Oxford) transportation to sites is pre-arranged, and students are assessed a transportation fee therefore. See individual programs for details.

Books and materials must be purchased by the students. Usually, this takes place at the site. Costs for books and materials is commensurate to that one would pay for a similar course in the United States. See individual programs for details.
