Martin Kopp

I was a Social Sciences undergrad at Cal Poly and am originally from San Ramon, California. My favorite movie, song, and book in order are *Star Wars Episode Six*, “Duke of Earl” by Gene Chandler, and *The Perks of Being a Wallflower* by Stephen Chbosky. I dislike martinis, shaken or stirred. My favorite sport to play is basketball, to watch is football, and the one I’m best at is soccer. My first love was baseball. I enjoy beaches but hate long walks. If I had a slogan it would be, “Can’t stop, won’t stop,” or “Take what you want or like what you get”.

Eugene Lee

Eugene Lee is a 1L at Santa Clara University. He is a lifelong resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, growing up in the Monterey Bay Area and attending college at UC Berkeley. Following graduation, he worked for a year as a journalist/blogger with Democracy Journal, California Magazine, and the Barack Obama Presidential Campaign's student blog. Following his short stint in journalism, Eugene moved to New York and became a high school social studies teacher with the Teach for America program. In 2008, he worked in Washington DC with the Asian-American Justice Center, where he constructed a voter-map and strategy to increase Asian-American political participation in time for the 2008 election. In his spare time, Eugene enjoys reading, writing, traveling, and sports.

Brian Pakpour

Brian Pakpour spent over 10 years as a journalist covering a wide range of technology and electronics topics, some more significant than others. A proud son of Philadelphia, his biggest peeve is the negative attitudes of West Coasters when it comes to good food and its rich consumption. Brian received a Master of Arts in Philosophy from West Chester University and enjoys discussing consciousness with anyone who won't lose consciousness.

Alex Ross

I grew up in a small town in the middle of Washington State called Wenatchee, although I did spend two years living in Spokane, WA, and 1.5 years in St. Louis, MO (playing the wonderful game of hockey). My major was International Studies at the University of Washington, graduating in 2005. As for my interests, I like all sports, but my favorites are Soccer and Hockey. My favorite tv shows are The Office and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I enjoy reading books by Stephen King and Chuck Palahniuk (amongst others). I had 100 words, so I am now done.

Gurtej Singh

Gurtej Singh ('Tej') is a 1L in the class of 2012. He has a BA in Computer Science and Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley. He spent the last few years working on an independent film with his best friend who recently passed away from a brain tumor. He is interested in IP, Entertainment Law, and possibly heath care reform. He has just made a pact with his girlfriend to eat healthy (avoiding the free pizza). (Hopefully) you can find Tej running on campus or in the gym several days a week.

Carolyn Wong

Carolyn is a first-year law student at the Santa Clara University. As the only female contributor, she looks forward to sharing her perspective on being a 1L as well as her experiences as a new South Bay inhabitant.
