Nathaniel Sterling served as an attorney and as executive director of the California Law Revision Commission from 1970 to 2006. During that period he drafted or supervised the drafting and enactment of several hundred bills affecting more than 20,000 California statutes. He continues to serve as a consultant to the Law Revision Commission. In 2007 Governor Schwarzenegger appointed Mr. Sterling to the California Commission on Uniform State Laws. He currently serves on two Uniform Law drafting committees and chairs a third.
