Markus Mueller-Chen


Biography

Professor Mueller-Chen is a Swiss citizen. He is a full professor at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland where he teaches contracts, torts and comparative law. He graduated from the law school of the University of Basel 1993 (Dr. iur.) and is admitted to the Swiss bar (2000). In 1992 and 1998 he was a Visiting Scholar at the Boalt Hall School of Law in Berkeley where he also met his wife, a Cal grad. He clerked for the District Court of Basel in Switzerland (1996/1997). His teaching and research interests focus on general principles of contract and torts law as well as art law which is also an area of specialization as an attorney.
