Courtney Joslin


Biography

Courtney G. Joslin is Staff Attorney at the National Center for Lesbian Rights, the only national legal organization with a primary commitment to issues affecting lesbians and their families. Courtney litigates family law and relationship recognition cases on behalf of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and their families, as well as cases involving LGBT young people. Since its founding in 1977, NCLR has focused on helping lesbian and gay people create and protect their families. Courtney is currently co-counsel in the multiple lawsuits pending in California regarding the right of same-sex couples to marry. She is co-chair of the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Committee of the ABA Section of Individual Rights and Responsibilities. Courtney is a graduate of Harvard Law School and received her undergraduate degree at Brown University.
