Jeffrey B. Hare has an active law practice in San Jose, with a primary focus on real estate and land use matters representing both private and public sector clients. Mr. Hare frequently speaks at educational seminars for real estate investors, and specializes in providing clients a comprehensive outcome-oriented approach to resolving legal disputes.
Mr. Hare served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Sunnyvale for nine years, and was City Attorney for the City of Morgan Hill before opening his own practice in San Jose. During that time, Mr. Hare was actively involved with the City Attorney’s Department of the California League of Cities, and served on a number of interagency committees and special legislative projects at both the State and local levels. For the past eight years, Mr. Hare has volunteered his time as a Temporary Judge with the Santa Clara County Superior Court, and previously served as Chairman of the Real Property Law Section of the County Bar Association.
Mr. Hare has taught several courses as a Lecturer in Law at Santa Clara University since 1998, including Negotiating, Local Government Law, Legal Professions, and the Civil Practice High Tech Internship Seminar. In November, 2010, Mr. Hare served as Coach for the SCU HMCE Law Student Team that competed in the American Bar Association Regionals held at Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver. Mr. Hare is actively involved as an adult leader with the Santa Clara County Council of Boy Scouts of America, and currently serves as a Unit Commissioner for a Pack, a Troop and a Venture Crew.
