Associate Professor Philip Griffith is a specialist in Intellectual Property Law with a particular interest in Patent Law and the Law of Trade Secrets. Philip has researched, written and taught in the field since 1972, and is interested in the legal, economic, social and policy considerations surrounding intellectual property regimes and patent protection of the processes and products of biotechnology and methods of treatment of the human body. Philip has presented papers at major international conferences on the topic of biotechnology and patent protection. During 2000 Phil supervised one PhD student, one LLM student and four honours paper completions.
