Biography

Ms. Casanave is currently General Counsel to a privately-funded technology start up where she provides global strategic legal and business planning, analysis and team leadership delivering advanced counsel and representation to diverse organizations and high-level business, engineering, marketing, sales and financial executives regarding transactional and compliance issues with partnerships, alliances, vendors and customers. She also leads due diligence and integration efforts respecting new product development.  She functionally interacts with government contracts, real estate, global FCPA regulation, procurement, intellectual property, technology product development, services, strategic alliances, mergers & acquisitions, litigation, financial services, regulatory, privacy and data protection, channel, OEM and vendor management, software and hardware.

 

Ms. Casanave is currently the President of the Santa Clara County Black Lawyers Association. She also has created a non-profit organization, The Casanave Foundation, for the purpose of raising capital to fund the "Teach a Woman to Sew" project and the "I Can - You Can" canning project to inner-city economically-challenged young adults.
