Jo Carrillo
Lecturer in Law - Fall 2009
Professor Jo Carrillo's recent scholarship is about mortgages and the federal truth in lending law. She also writes in the areas of property, property theory, law and culture (literature, art, collectibles). She has served as a member on the Herbert Jacob Book Prize Selection Committee, which is an international prize; as Law & Society Association trustee; as a peer reviewer for the Law & Society Review, the American Indian Law Review, and Political and Legal Anthropological Review (PoLAR); and as a co-editor for a Temple University Press book series. In 2006-07, she was appointed Harry & Lillian Hastings Research Chair at UC Hastings. In 2006-07, she was a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley?s Center for the Study of Law & Society. In 1997-98, she was a visiting professor at Stanford Law School.
At UC Hastings, she teaches Property, Community/Marital Property, Consumer Lending, Trusts and Estates, property related mediation, and Federal (American) Indian Law.
