Before coming to Santa Clara, Wil Burns was an Associate Professor in the International Environmental Policy Program at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California. He also serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Wildlife Law & Policy (http://www.jiwlp.com) and Co-Chair of the International Environmental Law Committee of the American Society of International Law. His research focuses on climate change and international wildlife law, as well as operationalization of the precautionary principle in international environmental law regimes.
