Course Description:
The course will provide students with an overview of the commercial real estate finance process, from selecting a finance source through funding and loan administration. The principal commercial real estate loan documents will be analyzed to reveal their purpose and how they operate. The roles of attorneys, loan brokers, escrow companies, title insurance companies, and other third party service providers will be examined. The applicable law will be reviewed with a focus on lender remedies and borrower protections.
