About PILCS
Public Interest Law Career Services (PILCS) is a program administered by Santa Clara Law students to help SCU students and graduates obtain public interest and public sector legal employment and pro bono volunteer opportunities. PILCS provides resources and counseling for job searches, internships, fellowships and volunteer positions in public interest fields.

- Public Interest Career Opportunities
- Summer Funding, Post-Graduate Fellowship and Loan Forgiveness Workshops - these informational workshops provide students with an overview of grants and fellowships available to those interested in working with a public interest organization or in the public sector. The sessions focus on summer funding for current students, post-graduate fellowships for recent graduates, and loan forgiveness programs for public interest/sector career-oriented lawyers.

2009 Upcoming PILCS Fall Events
- The 2009 Public Interest Career & Information Fair will be held on October 1, 2009. The Career and Information Fair provides Santa Clara students interested in public interest and public sector internships and career opportunities a chance to talk with local legal services providers. Held in the Mission Room located in the basement of Benson Center. Click here for registration.
- Public Interest/Public Sector Day - February 6, 2010. Get ready for next year's PI/PS Day which will provide students with interviews and networking opportunities for the Summer 2010 or post-graduate employment. Go to the Public Interest Clearinghouse and click on PI/PS Day for more information.
- The Pro Bono Recognition Program recognizes students who volunteer for more than 50 hours between May 1, 2009 and May 1, 2010. The application for 2010 will be due April 2, 2010. Click here for the Pro Bono Recognition Program Work Verification Form.
