For Employers

Looking to hire a Santa Clara University law student for part- or full-time position?

We’ve made it easy for you to advertise your openings to a broad audience of current students, recent graduates and alumni.

For immediate openings, we will advertise your listing in the Law Career Services office and on our password-protected job listing section of our web site. If you have an opening in the public sector, we’ll also post your listing at Public Interest Law Career Services. After 30 days, we’ll give you a call to see if your position is still available.

Simply fill out our convenient online job posting form and hit Submit. We generally post new positions within 24 hours of receipt.

You can also participate in our Fall OCI program and sponsor internships or judicial externships. Market your organization, advertise your openings and show your support of Santa Clara University School of Law by participating in one of our many career events throughout the year.  E-mail Law Career Services for more information about:

Fall On-Campus Interview Program

Each Fall LCS organizes an On-Campus Interview program. The number of employers participating has grown significantly over the past years. In 2008, we had approximately 90 employers visit our campus to interview students for summer associate, externship and entry level positions. Additionally, several organizations posted job notices or requested that our office collect resumes on their behalf.

Public Interest Career Fair

This fall event allows you to get the word out early about your organization and potential summer and full-time opportunities. First-year students find this table talk event especially informative as it gives them an overview of the public interest community in Silicon Valley and the overall Bay Area.

Law Career Day

One of our most popular spring events, Law Career Day provides prospective law students and current law students with an invaluable opportunity to speak one-one-one with practicing attorneys, many of whom are SCU law graduates.

Public Interest/Public Sector Day

Join hundreds of Bay Area public sector employers at this annual spring event sponsored by the Northern California Consortium of Law Schools and held at UC-Hastings College of the Law. Showcase your organization during the Meet the Advocates table talk and conduct interviews for summer and full-time positions.

Spring Recruitment

Set up as an additional and more flexible option to the traditional Fall OCI Program, On-Campus Spring Recruitment offers both employers and students an opportunity to connect during the spring recruitment season. Interviews can be informational, for hire or for internship/externship opportunities. If your firm is interested in participating in the On-Campus Spring Recruitment Program, please fill out our online Registration Form.

Silicon Valley High Tech Legal Career Fair

This spring career fair is part of the law school’s annual IP Week activities. If you’re looking for law students interested in high tech careers, many of whom with technical backgrounds, then don’t miss this popular event!

Law Career Services accepts job postings and on-campus interview requests and encourages career fair participation only from employers who agree to adhere to the law school’s non discrimination policy.
