     How do I change the date?
    

The currently selected date defaults to today's date and is displayed on the main toolbar under the SCU Logo. 

A RED box will display around the currently selected date.  There are several ways you can change this date.

On the main toolbar 


Change the drop down menu month, day or year and click "go".
Click the "today" icon to go to today's date
1 Click the arrow to the left of the number "1" to go to the previous day
1 Click the arrow to the right of the number "1" to go to the next day.
7 Click the arrow to the left of the number "7" to go to the previous week.
7 Click the arrow to the right of the number "7" to go to the next week.
31 Click the arrow to the left of the number "31" to go to the previous month.
31 Click the arrow to the right of the number "31" to go to the next month.

     How do I change to the day, week or month view?
    

The default view is the month calendar. To change to the day, week or month view see below.

On the main toolbar 

Click the "day" icon to go to view the currently selected day's events.
Click the "week" icon to go to view the currently selected week's events.
Click the "month" icon to go to view the currently selected month's events.

 

 

 

 

** In the month or week view, click on the event's name to view event details on that day.

     How do I choose a different calendar?
    

On the main toolbar

From the drop down menu.

select the name of a calendar.  For example selecting "Admissions" will update the calendar will all admissions events.

     How do I view multiple calendars?
    

On the main toolbar

From the drop down menu.

Select the item "FROM FULL LIST".  A new window will open.  All calendars are listed under "show only these type of events".  To view multiple types of calendars, mark the checkbox next to each type.  For example mark the checkbox next to Alumni, Career Services and EJCLC will display events from all three calendars together.

Click submit to view the results in the calendar.

     How do I search the calendar for an event?
    

On the main toolbar 

Click the "search" icon to open a new search window.
Enter a keyword into the text field.
Select a calendar. To search multiple calendars, hold the CTRL key down and click each of the caldendars when you are done, release the CTRL key.
Select a start and end date.
Click the "search " button

 

 

 

 

 

** If any matchs are found, click on the event name to view the details for that event.

How do I add an event?

    

Contact the Law Webmaster.  We will grant you access to a specific calendar(s).

     How do I display the days events as a list?
    

On the TOP toolbar

Click the options button.  

A new window will open.  Look under the heading "When in Day View".  There is a checkbox next to "display day's events as a list".  When this is checked, events will NOT overlap in day view, but instead be a list sorted by time.

Click submit to view the changes in the calendar.

     How do I view only events held at specific locations?
    

On the TOP toolbar

Click the OPTIONS button. 

A new window will open.  All possible locations are listed under "show only events in these locations".  To restrict your events to only specific locations, mark the checkbox next to each location.

Click submit to view the results in the calendar. 

** Remember to view ALL LOCATIONS, leave all UNCHECKED.

     How do I change the time range displayed on the day view?
    

On the TOP toolbar

Click the options button.  

A new window will open.  Look under the heading "When in Day View".  There is a select box that say  "display from 8:00 am to 8:00pm" .  Changing the time, will restrict the events displayed in the day view to only events that begin within this time range.

Click submit to view the changes in the calendar.

     Why is the right side of my calendar getting cut off when printing to 8 1/2" by 11" paper?
    

Changing your browser's orientation may solve this problem. In your browser click on File and then select Page Setup. Depending on your printer, you will see several options. Locate Orentation and change it to Landscape.

     Why aren't the colors on the calendar printing?
    

Below are instructions for the two major browsers.  This should solve the issue.

Windows Users
Internet Explorer

IE typically is not set to print background color or images, including table cell colors. On IE’s Print Preview, our color backgrounds will show as white table cells with black text. To get the table cells colored backgrounds to print,

  1. Click on the browser’s Tools menu.
  2. Select Internet Options,
  3. Then click on the Advanced tab.
  4. Scroll down to find the Printing heading and check the box called Print Background Colors and Images.

This setting affects both page backgrounds and table cell backgrounds.

Netscape Navigator
Netscape seems to always print colored table cells either with colors or shading, depending on your printer. But you can separately control whether it will print the page background color or image.

  1. Click on the File menu,
  2. Then select Page Setup
  3. Then in the Page Options section, check Print Backgrounds to include the page background in your printout.

Macintosh Users (only tested with OS X)
Internet Explorer

  1. Click FILE, the PRINT
  2. From the drop down menu select NETSCAPE.
  3. Make sure the "Print Backgroud Colors" has a checkmark next to it.
  4. Click PRINT

Safari
Safaru typically is not set to print background color or images, including table cell colors. Do the following to turn on background and table cell printing.

  1. Click FILE, the PRINT
  2. From the drop down menu select Safari.
  3. Make sure the "Print Backgrouds" has a checkmark next to it.
  4. Click PRINT
