Two important social justice courses - tell your friends.
October 24, 2011 at 2:57 PM
I want to alert you to two phenomenal public interest and social justice course opportunities for Spring 2012:
1) Community Economic Development (returning course - taught by James Head of the San Francisco Foundation). James Head is a long-time social justice lawyer who has taken his expertise in community economic development into being on the foundation side of making social change. The class is a great opportunity to learn this cutting edge area of law and make a connection with a wonderful person, lawyer, and future mentor.
2) Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project (new course - taught by Deborah Moss-West of our very own CSJ). A chance to work with another amazing person, lawyer, and future mentor and to be a mentor yourself to disadvantaged high school youth. Part of a national program, the MB Literacy Project offers you the chance to learn con law and to teach it. You never learn something so well as when you have to teach it. Join this exciting pilot program. Learn more http://www.law.scu.edu/socialjustice/marshall-brennan.cfm.
