IMPROVES SKILLS AND BUILDS STRONG RESUMES
If you want to make sure your fellow students have the opportunity to develop skills they will use every day in their law practice and don't see your school listed at the bottom of this message, you need to enter the competitions today!
The Client Counseling Competition helps to strengthen interviewing, planning, and analytical skills, which are so vital for an effective lawyer-client relationship. It is also a great chance for them to meet and network with lawyers and fellow law students from around the nation and Canada.
The NAAC emphasizes the development of oral advocacy skills through a realistic appellate advocacy experience. Competitors participate in a hypothetical appeal to the United States Supreme Court. The competition involves writing a 35-page brief as either respondent or petitioner and then arguing the case in front of the mock court.
Competing in any of the Law Student Division competitions looks good on a resume.
TOPIC
§ Client Counseling topic is Negligence and Related Tort Claims
§ NAAC topic relates to the War Powers Act
