Please read the note below from the University CIO regarding a possible network outage today.  Please plan accordingly -- if the system goes down, it may stay down for a several days.

Due to power issues in the Learning Commons, Technology Center and Library, there is a high probability the university will experience an unplanned network outage later today, affecting network access both on-campus and off-campus. IT staff are working to reconfigure the network architecture to minimize, to the extent possible, the impact of this outage to the campus.

Right now there is no way to determine the duration of the outage. It may be as long as several days. Status updates will be delivered to the university community via broadcast telephone messages should the outage occur.

Information Services apologizes both for the outage and the limited amount of notice. The circumstances causing this outage are beyond our control.
