Watch Live on Monday: Oral Arguments on Prop 8 before 9th Circuit Court of Appeals

On Monday, December 6 at 10AM, the oral arguments on Proposition 8 before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals will be broadcast. The campus community - including the school - will be able to view this broadcast at the University Library in Viewing Rooms A & B. Signs will be posted in the library on Monday. James Brosnahan, Lecture on Jury Selction

Heafey Center for Trial & Appellate Advocacy

Legendary San Francisco trial lawyer James Brosnahan will be on campus at Santa Clara from 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, to present a lecture on tactics for jury selection.  The lecture will be open for all Santa Clara law students to attend, in Bannan Hall 139.  Mr. Brosnahan was lead counsel for Jon Walker Lindh, as well as Oakland Raiders case, Marcus Williams v. William Romanowsky.

James J. Brosnahan is one of the nation’s most respected and recognized trial lawyers, with expertise in both civil and criminal trial work.  He was inducted into The State Bar of California’s "Trial Lawyers Hall of Fame" in April 1996; was awarded the "Samuel E. Gates Award" by the American College of Trial Lawyers in October 2000: was named the "Trial Lawyer of the Year" by the American Board of Trial Advocates in October 2001; was named "Legend of the Law" by the Laywer’s Club of San Francisco, November 2002; and was awarded the William J. Brennan Jr. Award from the University of Virginia Trial Advocacy Program, January 2003.
