They provide social media and general technology support to the Law Careers Services staff by developing the online presence of the office. The online communications team engages Santa Clara University's law students, law alumni, faculty, and friends of the university. This lunch time workshop is being presented by Assistant Dean Vicki Huebner, from Law Career Services and by LAWRAW professors Patty Rauch and Michael Flynn. They will teach you how to form both the content and structure of cover letters. They will also explain how you choose and modify writing samples for job applications.

The position at Lowenstein Sandler's Palo Alto office involves preparing, filing and prosecuting patent applications for software, including operating systems, middleware software, directory servers, network management, virtualization and cloud computing. The Patent Agent must have a degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. Must be registered to practice before the USPTO. Work experience as a software developer is a plus, along with solid academic credentials. Salary will be $2,700/week as a Summer Associate.

The Washington State AGO has not been funded to offer paid positions to 1L law clerks for the past several years. Nevertheless, we have found that many students benefit from a summer with us by fulfilling public service requirements and gaining invaluable first-hand legal training. We are currently accepting applications from those students who wish to serve as a volunteer. Although this program is primarily targeted towards first year law students, we also accept and encourage applications from second year and LLM law students.
