Hitachi Data Systems, has an opening for a legal intern. This would be a great opportunity for a 2L/PT3L with a desire to do corporate work. Their ideal candidate would have some prior legal experience (e.g. paralegal) but that should not discourage others from applying.

Description:
Job Summary: Assist Legal and Ethics and Business Conduct team at Global headquarters with contracts and other transactional matters, legal projects like HR, M&A, compliance matters and with respect to these various legal groups updating several legal websites and other resources. Assist in project management, data entry and organizational matters. Assist other functions in Corporate Affairs (Global Trade Compliance) as well as Lawyers in other regions like EMEA and APAC when required.

Job Requirements:
Excellent Microsoft office suite skills. Tech savvy with excellent oral and written communication skills. Some experience with Microsoft’s SharePoint application a plus. Ability to work autonomously and diligently. Interest in attending law school or currently in law school. Fast learner, interested in Information Technology and Corporate law. Follow instructions and meet deadlines.

Location: Santa Clara Headquarters
Education and/or Experience Requirements: Previous work in a legal environment preferred. Bachelor’s degree. No J.D.'s
