Hispanic National Bar Association’s Annual Career Fair

Friday, September 2nd, 2011 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel (part of the HNBA’s Annual Convention)

The HNBA Annual Career Fair is part of the HNBA's 36th Annual Convention: Forging the Future Together, which takes place August 31-September 3. Law student early registration is $200.00 and includes:

1. The Thursday evening reception

2. Friday Career Fair and evening reception

3. Saturday Law Student Programming and gala

The Sheraton has provided a discounted rate for law students ($129/night) and American Airlines is offering a 5% discount for law students traveling from August 26th to September 6th (the discount code and instructions will be provided on the following site www.hnba.com/accomodations-and-travel in the coming weeks). In addition, an HNBA Annual Convention Scholarship Committee has been formed to award scholarships to law students to help defray the cost of attending. Additional information, including the scholarship application, will be forthcoming.

Programming designed specifically for law students will take place on Saturday, September 3rd. The programming will consist of the following:

1. 8:00 am: Breakfast

2. 8:30 am – 9:30 am: Session I: The Job Search—Strategies for Finding a Job Now and in the Future

3. 9:45 am – 10:45 am: Session II: Professionalism & Etiquette: What you should know to Successfully Transition to the Legal Profession

4. 11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Session III: Thinking of Starting Your Own Practice One Day? The Nuts & Bolts of Hanging Your Own Shingle

5. 12:00 pm –1:30 pm: Networking Luncheon: Networking Luncheon with Attorneys
