Heartland Diversity Legal Job Fair (Early Bird Registration Deadline May 25th)
April 20, 2011 at 12:36 PM
The HDLJF is a relatively new initiative designed by the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association's Diversity and Managing Partner Committees to be held August 5-6, 2011 in Kansas City, Missouri. This job fair is unusual because law firms and legal organizations have come together to encourage students to make Kansas City their first choice. In 2009, the HDLJF was host to nearly 100 students from over 40 Law Schools from across the nation.
The interview process will be conducted on a 50/50 scale. Employers will pre-select one-half of the students whom they wish to interview. The remaining one-half of the interview schedule will be filled based on lottery. All interviews will be conducted at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in individual guest suite rooms. In 2009, 23 law firms and legal organizations conducted interviews at the job fair. Each student had at least 3 interviews!
All 2L and 3L Law Students and Recent Law Grads are invited to participate regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, marital status, age and veteran status.
