Patterson & Sheridan is seeking a patent attorney with 2-6 years of experience.  They are interested in a candidate with a computer science or electrical engineering background, although a specific degree in one of these disciplines is not required.  Substantial work experience in lieu of a degree in one of these disciplines will be considered.  The successful candidate will handle direct client contact in all phases of patent practice, including preparing and prosecuting patent applications, performing non-infringement and invalidity assessments, conducting patentability analyses, as well as client counseling centered around patent portfolio development and US and foreign filing strategies.  The firm requires excellent academic credentials and sophisticated prior technical experience.  The Palo Alto office handles a busy practice and serves a significant Silicon Valley client base.
