When deciding which version of Westlaw to use for legal research, keep in mind that so far WestlawNext does not include much foreign or international law. Thomson is telling law librarians that FCIL materials will be added by May 2011. In the meantime, if your research includes an international aspect, if you are trying to determine the law outside the U.S., or if you are comparing U.S. law to the law of other countries, don’t rely on WestlawNext to the exclusion of other databases.
