UN Database on Violence against Women

From today’s Internet Scout Report, news about a new U.N. database on violence against women. The database was requested in UN Resolution 61/143, December 2006, on the Intensification of efforts to eliminate all forms of violence against women. Data was compiled from responses to a questionnaire sent to member states in September 2008. Information is searchable and organized by country. The Good Practices section of the database lists promising national legislation and practices addressing violence against women.
