There is an interesting discussion at the Becker-Posner Blog on the role of the protestant ethic in American capitalism. Richard Posner discusses a recent NY Times editorial by David Brooks which argues that the success of American capitalism is deeply rooted in the work ethic, and moral framework, of Colonial American Protestantism.

Richard Posner should not argue at all with David... because David from NY Times always win
