September’s ABA Journal includes a brief article for job searchers about the importance of thank you notes: “Thanks a bunch: The right expression of gratitude will hit a high note with interviewers,” by Hope Viner Samborn, at page 59. Ms. Samborn advises typed or handwritten notes as a follow-up to any job interview. Additional pointers are to keep the note short, use high-quality paper, proofread, and send notes to each interviewer, as well as to administrative or recruiting personnel who arranged an interview.
