Sunday’s San Jose Mercury News has a very interesting article about “Sponsored bills,” lobbyists convincing legislators to pass statutes benefitting their clients. An accompanying database allows you to search legislation by lawmaker, sponsor, party and chamber. The story has been covered by local tv stations and other California media as well.
