Searching for presidential nominees
April 07, 2008 at 2:24 PM

Ever curious about the current status of a presidential nominee awaiting confirmation by the Senate?  If so, the U.S. Library of Congress has recently introduced a new search feature in THOMAS for presidential nomimees.  This includes nominees made by the executive for federal judicial positions, ambassadors, cabinent members, and Supreme Court justices.  To search, go to THOMAS, and select the appropriate session of Congress.  You may also restrict your search to civilian positions, or those for the military, Foreign Service, NOAA, or public health.
