      <description>PLI (Practising Law Institute) has announced that they are releasing nearly 100 of their legal titles in Kindle format.  PLI publishes legal practice materials covering a wide range of legal topics.  The titles will be available via the Amazon Kindle Store.  PLI claims in its press release that it is the first major legal publisher to make practice materials available in Kindle format.  Interestingly, the Kindle had a $50 price drop last week and is now available for $299.</description>

      <description>Aspen Publishers, a major legal publisher that produces study materials for law students (Law in a Flash cards, Examples and Explanation Series, etc.) has released a new version of their StudyDesk software.  StudyDesk is a software suite that includes a number of tools for law students including: outlining tools, brief writing templates, a legal concepts database, flash card and quiz wizards, and integration with other Aspen products.</description>
