Online Course Evaluations
April 08, 2010 at 9:27 AM
Yesterday’s Boston Globe has an article noting a decline in student participation since colleges have switched from paper and pencil course evaluations to an online format. The data comes from Boston area schools, which are trying both carrots and sticks to encourage participation. MIT gives a pizza to the class with the highest return rate. Harvard allows students to view their grades earlier if they’ve filled out the evaluation. Boston University is considering withholding grades from students who don’t fill out an evaluation. Thanks to the Chronicle of Higher Education for the link.
Please do fill out evaluation forms for your classes! It's an easy way to suggest improvements in law classes.
