Welcome to
Sign-up sheets for Lexis and Westlaw training are now available near the law library reference desk. You will need to attend a training session for each system before the end of the semester, so sign up before the sessions that you want are full. Our Lexis and Westlaw representatives will show you how to register to use each system. Both Lexis and Westlaw provide free printing to law students. Their printers are on the first floor of the law library, next to Room 136.
A self-guided tour of the Heafey Law Library is available on the flash drive distributed to your LARAW class. Print copies of the tour are available near the reference desk. It is also available on ClaraNet. Library maps are available online and at the circulation desk. Ask at the reference desk if you would like a librarian-guided tour of the library.
The library resumes regular hours this weekend. Regular reference hours resume on Monday: 9-9 Mon-Thurs; 9-5 Friday; 9-4 Saturday; 10-4 Sunday. You can reach the reference librarians in person, by phone (408 554-4452), via e-mail (lawref@scu.edu), and via Instant Message. See "Chat with a librarian" on the law library home page and the Heafey Law Library page on Facebook.
You will find study aids and past law school exams in the Stauffer Collection, behind the library circulation desk. Course reserves are in Stauffer and at the Circulation desk. Reserve materials are listed in OSCAR, the SCU library catalog.
Ask at the circulation desk if you want to reserve a library conference room for groups of two or more.
Use your ACCESS card (University ID) to enter the law library and the law library computer labs. The 14-digit code on the back of the ACCESS Card allows you to access many subscription databases from home and to request books using LINK+ , a local library consortium. You can store money on your ACCESS card and use the money to print to the SmartPrint printers and to make photocopies.
