Legal educators plan on boycotting San Diego AALS over marriage equality
August 05, 2008 at 2:11 PM

There has been an ongoing boycott against the Hyatt Hotel in San Diego due to the hotel owner's contribution of $125,000 in support of Prop. 8 which seeks to deny civil marriage rights to same-gender families.  The boycott has now spread into the field of legal education.  The American Association of Law Schools is planning their annual event in San Diego, at the Hyatt Hotel.  A number of law professors, and other legal educators, are calling upon AALS to move the conference.
