Justice Ginsburg has surgery for pancreatic cancer
February 05, 2009 at 10:48 AM

It has been announced this morning that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the only woman currently serving on the US Supreme Court, underwent surgery to remove a tumor from her pancreas. Ginsburg, age 75, is largely regarded as a consistently liberal voice on the court. Sadly, pancreatic cancer only has a five-year survival rate of 10 to 30 percent.
