This week’s Scout Report – a review of websites from the Intenet Scout Project at the University of Wisconsin – includes information about the website of the African Union. The African Union (AU) was established in 1999 by a declaration of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU). Its goals include unity and solidarity among African countries and sustainable economic and social development. OAU and AU documents available at the African Union website include the Constitutive Act of the African Union, OAU/AU Treaties, Conventions and Protocols, Decisions and Declarations of the Assembly and Executive Council from 1963 to the present, and speeches, reports, and press releases. Plans are underway to add the constitutions of all 53 member states.
