Add a librarian as a "friend"
January 28, 2008 at 11:32 AM

In an effort to improve access and references services, the Heafey Law Library has created a new instant message reference service through Meebo (www.meebo.com).  This new service is available on the library's website at law/library/chat-with-a-librarian.cfm.

Alternatively, if you are already using IM with a chat network (such as MSN, Gtalk, Yahoo, etc.) you may add the law library as a "friend".  This way, you have instant access to our reference librarians wherever you are using the same software you are already using.  We are currently available, as a "friend", on the following networks: Gtalk, MSN, Yahoo, and AIM.  Our screenname is the same on ALL networks -- "sculawlibrarian".

For example, to add us in Gmail simply type in "sculawlibrarian@gmail.com" in your contacts list and click on "Always Display".  You can now chat with a librarian within Gmail whenver you see the green light showing availability.
